AMD Launches Latest Ryzen 5000 Mobile Series Processor, Ryzen 9 5980HX Ready for action

AMD Virtual CES Keynote 2021 is over, with CEO Dr. Lisa Su. What’s interesting, the red team revealed the latest line of CPUs Ryzen 5000 Series Mobile processor with several options between the Ryzen 7 5800U and the HX Series for gaming with the main strengths between the Ryzen 9 5900HX and the superior choice of the Ryzen 9 5980HX.

Ryzen U Series processors can provide the most effective power in terms of performance for thin premium notebooks, on the other hand AMD claims that this latest CPU option will provide up to 21 hours of more efficient power for movie playback.

Ryzen 5000 Mobile

The top choice is the Ryzen 7 5800U, which comes with a power of 8 cores, 16 threads, superior clockspeed up to 4.4Ghz. Detailed specifications have not been disclosed further, but in terms of performance, AMD itself compared the 5800U with the Core i7-1185G7 and has a good difference in performance.

While the HX choice is a new evolution from the previous H series. The presence of a choice of superior CPUs with desktop-class performance is one of the reasons. And best of all, the latest AMD HX series processors are ready to deliver even higher performance with fully unlocked overclocking features.

AMD itself says that the HX series is claimed to be the best processor for gaming laptops that modern gamers can get this year. Two choices have been revealed, between the Ryzen 9 5900HX and the Ryzen 9 5980HX as the highest choice.

Ryzen 5000 Mobile

Both of these processors are ready to carry great power with high specifications, whether in terms of the number of cores up to 8 Cores & 16 threads, clockspeeds of up to 4.6Ghz and 4.8 Ghz respectively, 20MB L2 & L3 Cache, and 45W TDP.

The red team promises boosting performance that even the previous generation Ryzen has never been able to offer, or any mobile laptop processor, whether it’s single core performance that is claimed to be up to 13% superior to the Core i9-10980HK or overall performance with a difference of up to 35% compared to the Core i9- 10980HK.

Details of the specifications have not been disclosed further, but manufacturers say that a new processor with the power of Ryzen 5000 Series mobile processors will be coming soon in February.

And lastly is the next generation for the third generation AMD EPYC server processor. Manufacturers have not provided certainty, but there will be more performance improvements than the previous series.
